Co. in Cognac, France. Hennessy says he made it as a tribute to his love of music and compared the blend to a symphonic orchestra, where the purity of the sound matters more than the number of instruments. The house states that its eaux-de-vie were aged only in very old barrels, and credits that for the amber gold colour.
