Where was the 2010 Sazerac 18 aged?
Buffalo Trace's announcement of its 2010 Antique Collection says the 2010 Sazerac 18 Year Old is made of whiskey aged on the first floor of Warehouse K, a floor the distillery describes as slow-aging. The rye was distilled in 1985 and later held in stainless steel tanks, and this 90-proof bottling was the sixth-from-last drawn from that reserve before the 2015 release used the last of it.
What does the 2010 Sazerac 18 taste like?
Buffalo Trace described the 2010 Sazerac 18 Year Old as having a crisp spice, minty sweetness and pleasant oakiness, in a single flavor line rather than separate nose, palate and finish notes. The whiskey was bottled at 90 proof.
