The ninth of twelve. Twelve William Heavenhill editions appeared between 2008 and October 2025; this is the ninth.

One floor, one site. All 34 barrels came from the fourth floor of Rickhouse LL at the Schenley rickhouse site.

Proofed to 109. The back label says the barrel proof was cut to 109; the front label pairs it with 54.5% alc./vol.

A second 15-year-old. The 4th Edition of September 2014 was also 15 years old, but bottled at cask strength in three proofs: 144.6, 135.6 and 105.4.

Small Batch on the label. Heaven Hill’s edition list designates the 9th Small Batch, one of five designations in that list with Cask Strength, Bottled-in-Bond, Single Barrel and Barrel Proof.

The Name on the Label

A Nelson County distiller, born 1783

William Heavenhill farmed and distilled in Nelson County and was born on September 15, 1783; Heaven Hill is named after him, and his limestone spring inspired the distillery’s original name. By some accounts, Heaven Hill says, his corn whiskey supplied Bardstown’s Talbott Tavern in the early 1800s; the series carrying his name began in 2008.
